From one Site to Another 2

Since the start of the 2000’s not only has an internet boom taken over the technology talks, but when social media came into play it took hold of the youth and still hasn’t let go. Now I can speak from experience social media is addicting and it makes feel like you clued into everything, but the problem is everything on social media is permanent. That is what lead to a skyrocketing of teenagers taking their own life in recent years. In my opinion people under the age of 14 shouldn’t be anywhere near social media, because they too young I don’t care if their friends are on they shouldn’t be as it just isn’t right. The social media sites aren’t going to do anything and parents have to stop blaming others for not taking care of their kids or being the cause of bad things their kids do, because when are they at fault for not being a good parent/s

I have come to realize that social media is a great thing when used right and by people who aren’t in chat rooms or hiding something from those who inhabit the internet. The internet has made it harder for people within the public eye to keep a secret and not for normal people to do so. Mainly the focus of this was meant to make you think about you use social media and well the issues that trouble teens of today. I know it’s a touchy subject, but like I have said many time in the past “If you don’t talk about it then its forgotten about.” In this case it’d be forgotten about by you, but that doesn’t mean everyone forgets or moves on as not everyone can.

Teens always strive to find their place aka where they fit in as to the social structure both in and out of school. Not finding where you belong or where you think you’re meant to be can bring on a strong sense of loneliness and loneliness is a very powerful, and dangerous feeling that could completely drive a person insane. It can make you forget what, and who is important to you and why they are so important; you believe that you’re all alone and nobody can make you feel better or together again. Well my friends that’s why we need to talk about this too many people go too long thinking that they are alone.

I do have my own opinion on certain things that I think need to stay private and will never be told in person, but other personal opinion I can share. Like this own that even when you think your family or friends don’t care about you just wait, because when you need someone the most that’s when real family stands with you in support & helps you back on your feet. I know from experience depression is sometimes a hard thing to manage and cupule that with anxiety and it’s almost impossible to manage. I wish I could tell you that at this point I learned how to manage both my anxiety and depression, but I can’t because if even though I have learned how to better my depression it is still my sometimes severe anxiety that plagues me to this day. But that’s why you need to do what you love to do “Get a dream hold on to it and shoot for the stars.” That’s the best way I can put it, and truth is asking for help or just talking to someone may not be easy but it might be what’s best for you. Now you’re probably sitting their asking yourself what is the guys point. Well my point is this that for once it isn’t about blaming the cause it’s about creating awareness and I know every September 10th is the national awareness day for this problem, but why should we only talk about this every September when this is plaguing our youth all year round.

The best thing I can say is even though you believe you’re alone in this world you’re not and though you may not have found your place in the world everything changes after High school. If you can get past the loneliness and the belief that fitting in is the be all end all then you can see that if you have anything on your side and in your court its time, when you are in high school you have all the time in the world to figure out your future. So don’t throw your future away, because of a couple of bad months know that things will get better, find an outlet to forget about the bad and cut those cause you to feel like crap out of your life. Ask for the people on the outside if you see something say something if you think something is wrong don’t think twice and speak, get help, because though you may think you strong and can handle things on your own the only thing I can say is they don’t say “There is power in numbers," for no reason.

From One Site to Another Part 1

You may notice by the first paragraph that this came from another site and that's because it did. However, it's alright because I am the person who wrote it and the reason I am sharing it here too is because it's about the principle. The principle or the point to share this post is to spread the word and create something more than just knowledge. I guess it's to let people know and be aware that even when they think they are alone they aren't and someone is always there for them.

It’s Showtime folks”  this phrase has rang out from one man so many times over the years and now it is being used for a different purpose as we are about to get real. “If I could be serious for a second” being professional sucks, the idea of staying with a certain “box” just because I am on a website is bogus, and believing everything you read on the internet makes you delusional. Everything you read on the internet……. Hmmm that is an interesting concept. By the way if you have problem with this post having nothing to do with wrestling then well click off now, because I really don’t care.

An Eye for Eye only ends up making the whole World Blind.

Look back to the 1960's there were peaceful protests all over the country as citizens spoke out about the Vietnam War and the dissatisfaction of international affairs for the country. Now fast forward to the modern age and look at how things have changed. Every single freaking month it seems like someone is getting killed in a shooting or something of that nature. Before you get on my case this isn't a political piece this is a cry for help. A few years ago at this point the greatest video was brought to the attention of the internet.

To take a quote from the video "It sure used to be we stood up for what was right, we fought for moral reasons... struck down laws for moral reasons. He would go on for a little longer talking about how we weren't judged based on who we voted for in the last election, but for who we were. Also that people took pride in being intelligent and informed and weren't looked down upon. This country used to be the greatest country in the world, but it isn't anymore.

We have more in fighting then a Bad News Bears game, more violence the entire Fight Club movie. We shouldn't be basing our lives off movies though I mean if we did why can't we base it off a movie like Happy Gilmore were Adam Sandler overcame the odds and moved from being an outcast to a star. What about the Lion King were Hakuna Matata was a wonderful phrase? If we are going to take anything from Hollywood why can't it be how we should live. Back in the 1960's people cared about people everyone wasn't so quick to judge or ostracize someone for different views. Now that's a whole different story because we all live in fear... We live in fear that our friends will turn on us and attack, or the economy will turn and well lose everything or that people we trust to keep us safe won't be their when we need them the most.

I have wanted to speak my mind for a long time, but haven't done it out of fear. But after last night fear is something we all have to stomach because of this gosh darn backward society we live in right now. Yes the corruption is present, the economy isn't secure, yes health care and employment problems, but what about safety. What about knowing that you can go to a store, club, restaurant, movie theater, or anywhere and not have to worry that you wont make it home; What about that!! Mahatma Gandhi freed his nation without guns, without murder, he freed India by peacefully protesting. He freed India by standing up with his fellow countrymen for something they all believe in and wanting things to change. You want to know the difference as why Gandhi's change worked it's because he UNITED India, problem now is that this country isn't being untied it's being torn apart slowly but surely.

That is by far the saddest part, because I shouldn't have to live in fear that I may not be able to watch my kids grow up or that I may not be able to have kids. I shouldn't have to live in fear that my friend would turn against me for having different views. I shouldn't have to fear those who are suppose to protect the citizens of this country. If we want things to change we need to stand UNITED otherwise nothing changes, because UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL!!

YouTube Psychology #1

One of the hardest things that you can ever try to do is to become a known Youtuber or video maker on the internet. A few of you may think I am crazy, but fact is that is because there is a stigma that goes along with making videos and putting them on the internet and that most people don't think it is that hard. Well to those people I say your wrong, because it is quite hard, very time consuming, and requires a good amount of knowledge in video creation and editing. All these things that most people don't think about as most people are very quick to judge Youtuber's big or small which is a shame.

Though the market for Youtube is quite saturated right now that doesn't change the fact that it is quite hard to make it and it does take time as I mention in the video below 1 million subs or even 100 subs will not happen over night. Expectations when you first start YouTube will make your stay on the video sharing site very short.

In this video I provide a short elaboration on how to psychology approach being New to YouTube. If you enjoy it let me know and I will keep doing this series, views and ratings really do influence if your favorite series stick around.

Entitlement Makes Me Sick Part 2

To say that a lot of people in this generation believe they deserve something or have earned something without actually working for it is an understatement as there are far too many people that actually believe this. However, as I said last month:

Your not entitled to:

  1. A Good Job or a job to begin with
  2. Financial Stability
  3. Internet Access
  4. Technology
  5. Special Treatment

The idea of hard work use to carry a lot of weight in our society, but along the way something changed within people. All of the sudden people stop carrying about working hard and if something didn't go the way they wanted then they just try and sue someone to get what they want. Instead of hard work having meaning jealousy and self-interest took center stage. Just a question how do you think a lot of those millionaires and billionaires you are jealous of and hold resentment toward even got their money....... Most of them worked for it, and it took a lot of Hard Work and Dedication. Oh there's that word again.... Hard Work.

The way I was brought up is to have a great work ethic and work hard to achieve your goals which is something that is seemingly lost on this generation, because of instant gratification. Though I may not be old and even though I'm not really young let me toss some advice to the generation behind me.... If you want a big house, lots of money and fast cars then work hard and always strive to be better, because you wont get to the top on hand outs.

Habit Hurts!!

Think of something that you always do everyday. Did you think of something? Now think of how you feel when you are unable to do it for whatever reason. Did you think about it? How do you feel?

The reason for all of those questions is because life is unpredictable and you never really know where it will take you or which way things will go. That's the problem so many of us want to be able to predict every aspect of our lives, but we can't. On the outside people always say "Just speak up" or "Ask for help" sometimes help is what is needed and talking isn't what will help. A person of habit is someone who does the same thing every single day without changing a thing and always does things the exact same way normally due to a fear of change. I know this, because I am a creature of habit as everyday I do the same exact thing. When I don't do something I normally do or I can't do something I normally do then I feel like something is wrong and I get anxious and nervous.

For the last 1 year straight I have posted at least two or more articles on my website much like I used to do here for the 2 years that I did blogs here. But for the last year nothing has ran interference in posting the articles as when I needed a break I called upon my writers to come through with a post or two. Recently things have been different I know it isn't burnout, because I have felt what burnout feels like but I still find writing difficult sometimes yet it's always been my escape like it is now.

I know that if the story was told then people would understand, but I can't understand and that is the problem because I am a creature of habit. Making something a habit is something that is ingrained in us back while we are in school as we are told to memorize this formula or spelling of a word or by solving a word problem the same way over and over by making it a habit. Change is a good thing, but only if it is the right thing to do as it could be a bad thing and make you regret the change and resent how things have changed. I guess what I'm trying to say is habits can hurt if you grow to accustomed to doing the same things the same way all the time.

Even if you get disappointed or anxious or nervous or scared or whatever emotion you feel it doesn't matter because it will go away if you let it. Point is confidence is a hard thing to find especially when you never knew you had it, and though you might have thought it only had to do with talking to people it doesn't it can also be tied to believing in yourself that what your doing is right and that your okay. Relax and enjoy life because it is too short to be nervous all of the time.

Song of the Day: The Call by Matt Kennon

This blog was never just about me expressing my opinion and getting negative attention. I know that not everyone will agree with me, but respect is sometimes a hard thing to earn. Every now and again I am going to be coming around to deliver the song of the day as music is extremely important. Music can sooth the soul and help bring someone out of a really bad mood or make them forget bad things going on in life even for a minute.

Going back a few weeks a didn't even know this song existed, but I'm glad I gave this song a chance and gave a listen because I really enjoyed the song. For those who may have never heard the song it explains the importance of just calling someone who you may not have called for a while just to talk to them. I hope you enjoy this song and really give it a listen as it is a great song.

Entitlement Makes Me Sick Part 1

Facts of Life:
  • You're not guaranteed anything in this life that does include: a good job, a cell phone, internet access, a good education, making lots of money.
  • A driver's licence is a privilege and not a right much like a cell phone both can be taken away without so much as a second thought.
  • Some skills are meant to be taught and passed down and not learned. Independence is good, but dependence is needed sometimes to really learn something.
  • Hard work isn't a bad thing

Now don't get me wrong it is difficult to pinpoint which generation is exactly the entitlement generation, but what I do know is at least one person would say "Stop acting like your 40 cause your not." They'd be right I'm not 40 and I am actually in my early 20's, but I was raised that credit is given and respect is earned. Then I look around I wonder where is the respect, where is the hard working people this country used to be known for, and where is the idea that instant gratification isn't everything.

In my other writings I love going back in time, because I love to talk about history and this time is no different. Let's go back in time to the 80's or 90's did kids then act even way similar to the way kids act now. No, why because kids then knew what Respect meant and knew that Working Hard to get something wasn't a bad thing, but was a right of passage. As time passed somewhere along the line everything changed and now the idea of Respect and Working Hard to earn things seem to be terrible phrases to utter. Well I hate to break it to you they aren't and everything in life requires HARD WORK as nobody said life would be easy. Now it's time for a wake up call!!!

Note:
I'll go as far with this as you the reader wants me to as I have a lot of ammo and no other filter to get it out. So the amount of parts to this "series" and I use that term very loss is totally up to you.

The Outlook From My End

I may not be the wisest of the butch or the most politically correct person you'll ever met, but through hell or high water I will take advantage of the freedoms given to us by the first amendment of the Bill of Rights and that is Freedom of Expression and Freedom of Speech. In my last post to end it I said that I would respect your opinion if you were able to respect mine and can understand that not everyone will agree with your opinion. Now before I start to jump into talking about some of the issues that I mentioned last time I wanted to give a little bit of a background on myself.

I had the ability to vote in the last election, but I didn't the only reason I didn't vote is because I didn't believe that my vote counted or actually would make a difference as I felt the winner was decided before election day. I know about half of you that read this will say that's a dumb reason not to vote and you might be right, but that was four years ago and now four years later I can vote and come November I will be voting. The difference between this years election and the 2012 election is:

  1. I actually care this year and think that my vote could actually mean something to the person that I vote for on the ballot. Though I am aware that my vote has a limited importance to most of the candidates due to well me being one person, but put that all aside I'm still okay with voting and ready to vote in my first election.

  2. On the other front my change in attitude is probably due to the fact that unlike four years ago I am a lot more informed then I was and actually a little more interested then I was four years ago. I actually have opinions on the candidates and know more then just what other people are telling me. I have the ability to carry on knowledgeable and cohesive coversations about politics for the first time and it's feels very different.

The point of this post wasn't to talk about feelings it was to display something that a lot of other teenagers and people in general are guilty of and that's not being informed then using that as a reason not to vote. Being more informed isn't an excuse when all the information is right at your finger tips and though the system maybe broken it's up to us to find someone willing and able to fix it. Not voting would have the opposite effect on the attempts to fix this country. Though it's many months away take this time to think are going to vote come November 8th and if not take this time to think about why and if it's worth not having at least a small say in who takes over the White House next January.

Open Our Eyes

2016 is the year for everything to change because the amount of people that are actually paying attention to politics this year is incredible. Never before has an election year that remembered garnered so much media attention. But there is a difference between being informed and just paying attention due to the fact that you like one idea. With the amount of information we have at our finger tips these days it is hard to believe that so many of us are so backwardly informed on topics that actually matter. Topics like safety, the economy, veterans, and various other topics that are far too many to list.

However, I am at the point where I actually fed up being uninformed and being a sheep that is just happy with not knowing anything. The ability to have knowledgeable conversations on a variety of topics allows you to have conversations with a wider variety of people. For the longest time people have been living in the dark like myself and we shouldn't accept not knowing as a good thing anymore. If we have the time to look up the latest issues with Johnny Manziel then why don't we have time to know about our veterans or threats to our safety or problems with the economy. The reason is because of the fact that we are controlled and are okay with it.

I'm not saying that we need to change the political landscape of this country that's not the problem the problem is that so many people have remained misinformed for so long even though the real information is right in front of them. I've reached the point where I really can't express my opinion on certain topics due to fear of others and them misunderstanding my opinion and my words. So please just think about this until my next post: I'll respect your opinion if you are able to respect mine, because I accept not everyone will agree with me and you should be able to do the same.
