Entitlement Makes Me Sick Part 2

To say that a lot of people in this generation believe they deserve something or have earned something without actually working for it is an understatement as there are far too many people that actually believe this. However, as I said last month:

Your not entitled to:

  1. A Good Job or a job to begin with
  2. Financial Stability
  3. Internet Access
  4. Technology
  5. Special Treatment

The idea of hard work use to carry a lot of weight in our society, but along the way something changed within people. All of the sudden people stop carrying about working hard and if something didn't go the way they wanted then they just try and sue someone to get what they want. Instead of hard work having meaning jealousy and self-interest took center stage. Just a question how do you think a lot of those millionaires and billionaires you are jealous of and hold resentment toward even got their money....... Most of them worked for it, and it took a lot of Hard Work and Dedication. Oh there's that word again.... Hard Work.

The way I was brought up is to have a great work ethic and work hard to achieve your goals which is something that is seemingly lost on this generation, because of instant gratification. Though I may not be old and even though I'm not really young let me toss some advice to the generation behind me.... If you want a big house, lots of money and fast cars then work hard and always strive to be better, because you wont get to the top on hand outs.

Habit Hurts!!

Think of something that you always do everyday. Did you think of something? Now think of how you feel when you are unable to do it for whatever reason. Did you think about it? How do you feel?

The reason for all of those questions is because life is unpredictable and you never really know where it will take you or which way things will go. That's the problem so many of us want to be able to predict every aspect of our lives, but we can't. On the outside people always say "Just speak up" or "Ask for help" sometimes help is what is needed and talking isn't what will help. A person of habit is someone who does the same thing every single day without changing a thing and always does things the exact same way normally due to a fear of change. I know this, because I am a creature of habit as everyday I do the same exact thing. When I don't do something I normally do or I can't do something I normally do then I feel like something is wrong and I get anxious and nervous.

For the last 1 year straight I have posted at least two or more articles on my website much like I used to do here for the 2 years that I did blogs here. But for the last year nothing has ran interference in posting the articles as when I needed a break I called upon my writers to come through with a post or two. Recently things have been different I know it isn't burnout, because I have felt what burnout feels like but I still find writing difficult sometimes yet it's always been my escape like it is now.

I know that if the story was told then people would understand, but I can't understand and that is the problem because I am a creature of habit. Making something a habit is something that is ingrained in us back while we are in school as we are told to memorize this formula or spelling of a word or by solving a word problem the same way over and over by making it a habit. Change is a good thing, but only if it is the right thing to do as it could be a bad thing and make you regret the change and resent how things have changed. I guess what I'm trying to say is habits can hurt if you grow to accustomed to doing the same things the same way all the time.

Even if you get disappointed or anxious or nervous or scared or whatever emotion you feel it doesn't matter because it will go away if you let it. Point is confidence is a hard thing to find especially when you never knew you had it, and though you might have thought it only had to do with talking to people it doesn't it can also be tied to believing in yourself that what your doing is right and that your okay. Relax and enjoy life because it is too short to be nervous all of the time.

Song of the Day: The Call by Matt Kennon

This blog was never just about me expressing my opinion and getting negative attention. I know that not everyone will agree with me, but respect is sometimes a hard thing to earn. Every now and again I am going to be coming around to deliver the song of the day as music is extremely important. Music can sooth the soul and help bring someone out of a really bad mood or make them forget bad things going on in life even for a minute.

Going back a few weeks a didn't even know this song existed, but I'm glad I gave this song a chance and gave a listen because I really enjoyed the song. For those who may have never heard the song it explains the importance of just calling someone who you may not have called for a while just to talk to them. I hope you enjoy this song and really give it a listen as it is a great song.
