I Support PewDiePie

I wanted to write this post because I feel like this is where some people have gone over board with not just trying to control things but also by exasperating fear among the masses. I am not going to comment much on the events of what took place, but what I will say is that this is just another occurrence of mainstream media showing just how un-trusting they can be and how they only care about having "click bait title" and not reporting real issues. Currently I am reading a book called Fools Rush In by Nina Munk and she speaks about the merger between AOL and Time Warner. Before Time Warner merged with AOL two other companies came together that being Time Inc. and Warner Communications. I am unsure of their standing at this time, but back in the day for decades following founding of any Time Inc. magazine they valued the real story and the same could be said for the early days of CNN or when it was owned by Ted Turner.

Now well let's not talk about that because everyone knows how much of a laughing-stock one of the those names are. What I mean is that there was a time not too long ago when companies would actually report the real story and not just change the facts to make the story more interesting. But this isn't just the case in News Media it has also spilled over into the online industry particular on a certain video sharing site. Look if you are that desperate to get views that you will put a click bait title on your post or video or what have you than you might think you're helping yourself, but your damaging the credibility of your entire field and profession. In my opinion anyone who does any of the following things to get views should be ashamed:

You Change facts from the real story to make things more interesting but untrue
You make a title on a technicality just to bait people in
You try to damage credible and respected people's brands or names for your own gain.

I could keep going forever about this, but I won't because I feel very strongly about certain things and this one of them. I have always said that if you don't like what I am saying then leave as nobody is forcing you to stay and read something I write. I also say that I will NEVER change FACTS to make a story more interesting because then I am damaging the credibility of an entire field by doing that. This is because one bad egg can damage the whole litter! Seeing this video and watching how different PewDiePie is in this video is kinda sad, because I have been watching his videos for years and he always had been this spirited and energized character, but not it's almost he's broken.

I am not saying that he is a broken man, but more that he seems hurt that someone he respected would go out of their way to try to damage his name. I for one still have just as much respect for Pewds as I did before all this crap came out, because I feel like I know the real PewDiePie and that the media is just trying to strike a credible and respected name from the list of well people who know the media for what it is and that's a Joke!! I don't mean all media is a joke, but I do mean that for the most part that most main stream media especially in the states is a JOKE and that's unfortunate because so many people still look to main stream media as their only source of knowing what is happening the world.

WOW! I had a lot more to say then I thought I would. Good Luck Felix! Everything will blow over eventually because people nowadays forget very easily and I hope that your fans and members of the Youtube community stand with you in this complete disregard for respect and reporting of REAL NEWS

Note:
If you have to change the real facts to a story to make people want to read it then maybe the story isn't worth reporting, because if your not going to give the real story then your not reporting anything. I maybe too small to really mean much, but I do have a voice thanks to the internet, if you want to hear or not that's up to you nobody is forcing you too.

The Evan Longoira Trade Question

I am going to try something new on this site as I wrote an article for a baseball site that I was going join as a writer, but things never came to fruition for us and the articles haven't been touched since last Spring.

Last year the Rays saw such a drop off in production from their line-up that no matter how dominate Chris Archer or Jake Ordorizzi were the team wasn’t going to succeed. Tampa proved that even good pitching you see need some hitting as you need to score some runs. Though it was one bad year and he might be up to rebound should they count on that from Evan Longoria or is it time to move on. I know a lot of you might play the age card or the contract card or just the fact that Evan likes Tampa. All I can say is winning with the Rays wouldn’t have the same impact on the fan base that say winning with the Cubs or even the Indians would. But the lack of fandom in the state of Florida is up to cover another day.

Looking at their organization Tampa has always had to develop their own talent and couldn’t buy free agents like other teams as they are small market. However, looking at it from an overall perspective if Price stayed in Tampa would Chris Archer be in the position he is in or did he flash his potential because of the role he was chosen to fill in the organization. Nobody could have known that Archer would have been as good as he did last year and same goes for Ordorizzi.

Long term, can the team sustain keeping Longoria and losing or would it be smarter to try and make a move when the division is weak and set themselves up for the long term instead of looking at the short term. Though I may be looking at this from an outsiders perspective I feel it may provide the team with a different set of eyes then they had before. All I am saying is look at the names that have been available this offseason on the trade market, and think if the Rays fall out of the race again someone wouldn’t call for Longoria. They have done it the past for free agency, but why not do it now for the future. I know Longoria is still young, that’s no question the question is can they produce with him or would they do more without him. I just think not just for the future, but for the sake of the line-up it’s better to have two guys who can produce rather than one just look at the White Sox for example.

An Anniversary celebration

Originally published on EvolutionofWrestling.blogspot.com:

We are now entering year 6 for the blog and its incredible to think that you guys and gals are still viewing my stuff after all these years. The fact that we are still getting over 200 views a week is incredible to me and extremely humbling I know I have said all this before, but I really do love you guys and gals for all that you have given me, because I wouldn't be where I am without you. Now I know in the past I have made some promises that I didn't really keep for too long, but what I will say is that as far as consistency I will try and raise the bar this year and once again beat the number of posts from last year by the summer.

But that's not the only I am here because as we look to the new year and I look to life after school there is more of the unknown present, but that's why preparation is the most important thing when you finish school. For if you know where you go the road wont be as bumpy to get there. It is hard to process that I started this blog when I was a junior in High School and back in December I just finished my last year of college; it is freaking surreal.

So what you can expect for the new year is a bit of an increase in posts and me topping last years number by the end of July., and not by one I will top last years output by a wide margin by the end of July. As for now if you have some free time on your hands and feel like expressing your opinion feel free to help me out by answering this survey I wrote to do a little research: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/C36K7JB

Thank you in advance for the help with the survey and I don't know how I can ever thank you for the continued support of this blog.

From one Site to Another 2

Since the start of the 2000’s not only has an internet boom taken over the technology talks, but when social media came into play it took hold of the youth and still hasn’t let go. Now I can speak from experience social media is addicting and it makes feel like you clued into everything, but the problem is everything on social media is permanent. That is what lead to a skyrocketing of teenagers taking their own life in recent years. In my opinion people under the age of 14 shouldn’t be anywhere near social media, because they too young I don’t care if their friends are on they shouldn’t be as it just isn’t right. The social media sites aren’t going to do anything and parents have to stop blaming others for not taking care of their kids or being the cause of bad things their kids do, because when are they at fault for not being a good parent/s

I have come to realize that social media is a great thing when used right and by people who aren’t in chat rooms or hiding something from those who inhabit the internet. The internet has made it harder for people within the public eye to keep a secret and not for normal people to do so. Mainly the focus of this was meant to make you think about you use social media and well the issues that trouble teens of today. I know it’s a touchy subject, but like I have said many time in the past “If you don’t talk about it then its forgotten about.” In this case it’d be forgotten about by you, but that doesn’t mean everyone forgets or moves on as not everyone can.

Teens always strive to find their place aka where they fit in as to the social structure both in and out of school. Not finding where you belong or where you think you’re meant to be can bring on a strong sense of loneliness and loneliness is a very powerful, and dangerous feeling that could completely drive a person insane. It can make you forget what, and who is important to you and why they are so important; you believe that you’re all alone and nobody can make you feel better or together again. Well my friends that’s why we need to talk about this too many people go too long thinking that they are alone.

I do have my own opinion on certain things that I think need to stay private and will never be told in person, but other personal opinion I can share. Like this own that even when you think your family or friends don’t care about you just wait, because when you need someone the most that’s when real family stands with you in support & helps you back on your feet. I know from experience depression is sometimes a hard thing to manage and cupule that with anxiety and it’s almost impossible to manage. I wish I could tell you that at this point I learned how to manage both my anxiety and depression, but I can’t because if even though I have learned how to better my depression it is still my sometimes severe anxiety that plagues me to this day. But that’s why you need to do what you love to do “Get a dream hold on to it and shoot for the stars.” That’s the best way I can put it, and truth is asking for help or just talking to someone may not be easy but it might be what’s best for you. Now you’re probably sitting their asking yourself what is the guys point. Well my point is this that for once it isn’t about blaming the cause it’s about creating awareness and I know every September 10th is the national awareness day for this problem, but why should we only talk about this every September when this is plaguing our youth all year round.

The best thing I can say is even though you believe you’re alone in this world you’re not and though you may not have found your place in the world everything changes after High school. If you can get past the loneliness and the belief that fitting in is the be all end all then you can see that if you have anything on your side and in your court its time, when you are in high school you have all the time in the world to figure out your future. So don’t throw your future away, because of a couple of bad months know that things will get better, find an outlet to forget about the bad and cut those cause you to feel like crap out of your life. Ask for the people on the outside if you see something say something if you think something is wrong don’t think twice and speak, get help, because though you may think you strong and can handle things on your own the only thing I can say is they don’t say “There is power in numbers," for no reason.

From One Site to Another Part 1

You may notice by the first paragraph that this came from another site and that's because it did. However, it's alright because I am the person who wrote it and the reason I am sharing it here too is because it's about the principle. The principle or the point to share this post is to spread the word and create something more than just knowledge. I guess it's to let people know and be aware that even when they think they are alone they aren't and someone is always there for them.

It’s Showtime folks”  this phrase has rang out from one man so many times over the years and now it is being used for a different purpose as we are about to get real. “If I could be serious for a second” being professional sucks, the idea of staying with a certain “box” just because I am on a website is bogus, and believing everything you read on the internet makes you delusional. Everything you read on the internet……. Hmmm that is an interesting concept. By the way if you have problem with this post having nothing to do with wrestling then well click off now, because I really don’t care.

An Eye for Eye only ends up making the whole World Blind.

Look back to the 1960's there were peaceful protests all over the country as citizens spoke out about the Vietnam War and the dissatisfaction of international affairs for the country. Now fast forward to the modern age and look at how things have changed. Every single freaking month it seems like someone is getting killed in a shooting or something of that nature. Before you get on my case this isn't a political piece this is a cry for help. A few years ago at this point the greatest video was brought to the attention of the internet.

To take a quote from the video "It sure used to be we stood up for what was right, we fought for moral reasons... struck down laws for moral reasons. He would go on for a little longer talking about how we weren't judged based on who we voted for in the last election, but for who we were. Also that people took pride in being intelligent and informed and weren't looked down upon. This country used to be the greatest country in the world, but it isn't anymore.

We have more in fighting then a Bad News Bears game, more violence the entire Fight Club movie. We shouldn't be basing our lives off movies though I mean if we did why can't we base it off a movie like Happy Gilmore were Adam Sandler overcame the odds and moved from being an outcast to a star. What about the Lion King were Hakuna Matata was a wonderful phrase? If we are going to take anything from Hollywood why can't it be how we should live. Back in the 1960's people cared about people everyone wasn't so quick to judge or ostracize someone for different views. Now that's a whole different story because we all live in fear... We live in fear that our friends will turn on us and attack, or the economy will turn and well lose everything or that people we trust to keep us safe won't be their when we need them the most.

I have wanted to speak my mind for a long time, but haven't done it out of fear. But after last night fear is something we all have to stomach because of this gosh darn backward society we live in right now. Yes the corruption is present, the economy isn't secure, yes health care and employment problems, but what about safety. What about knowing that you can go to a store, club, restaurant, movie theater, or anywhere and not have to worry that you wont make it home; What about that!! Mahatma Gandhi freed his nation without guns, without murder, he freed India by peacefully protesting. He freed India by standing up with his fellow countrymen for something they all believe in and wanting things to change. You want to know the difference as why Gandhi's change worked it's because he UNITED India, problem now is that this country isn't being untied it's being torn apart slowly but surely.

That is by far the saddest part, because I shouldn't have to live in fear that I may not be able to watch my kids grow up or that I may not be able to have kids. I shouldn't have to live in fear that my friend would turn against me for having different views. I shouldn't have to fear those who are suppose to protect the citizens of this country. If we want things to change we need to stand UNITED otherwise nothing changes, because UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL!!

YouTube Psychology #1

One of the hardest things that you can ever try to do is to become a known Youtuber or video maker on the internet. A few of you may think I am crazy, but fact is that is because there is a stigma that goes along with making videos and putting them on the internet and that most people don't think it is that hard. Well to those people I say your wrong, because it is quite hard, very time consuming, and requires a good amount of knowledge in video creation and editing. All these things that most people don't think about as most people are very quick to judge Youtuber's big or small which is a shame.

Though the market for Youtube is quite saturated right now that doesn't change the fact that it is quite hard to make it and it does take time as I mention in the video below 1 million subs or even 100 subs will not happen over night. Expectations when you first start YouTube will make your stay on the video sharing site very short.

In this video I provide a short elaboration on how to psychology approach being New to YouTube. If you enjoy it let me know and I will keep doing this series, views and ratings really do influence if your favorite series stick around.
